INCT GmbH
With the rapid development of the new energy industry, blade battery manufacturing places increasing demands on cutting and welding equipment in terms of speed, precision, and long-term stability. In particular, 3D five-axis cutting and welding processes require high dynamic response and consistent power control during complex motion paths.
This project focuses on an INCT motion control solution for a 3D five-axis cutting machine used in blade battery production, enabling high-speed operation, stable welding quality, and reliable system performance.
Blade battery processing requires welding speeds up to 300 mm/s, placing strict demands on motion response and system stability.
During tight-radius motion, maintaining consistent welding power is critical to ensure uniform weld quality and avoid defects.
Frequent acceleration and deceleration in multi-axis operation require a motion system with high rigidity and precise coordination.
Complex five-axis systems require simplified integration and reliable long-term operation to support production efficiency.
To meet the demanding requirements of blade battery processing, INCT provided a complete motion control solution for the 3D five-axis cutting machine.
The solution integrates the following core INCT components:
Providing direct-drive motion with high acceleration capability and precise positioning accuracy.
High-rigidity roller-type linear guides ensure smooth motion and maximize linear motor performance.
This integrated configuration supports precise, high-speed, and stable five-axis motion control.
The implemented INCT solution achieved the following application results:
• Welding speed up to 300 mm/s, significantly improving production efficiency and throughput
• Stable constant-power welding during small corner transitions, ensuring uniform weld quality
• Less than 3% speed reduction during frequent acceleration and deceleration at corners
• High repeatability supported by rigid mechanical structure and roller-type linear guides
Direct-drive motion enables rapid acceleration and deceleration without mechanical transmission limitations.
Roller-type linear guides enhance system stability and motion accuracy.
INCT provides a turnkey solution including motion components, electrical systems, and software integration, simplifying deployment and maintenance.
